Hiromi Tokuda

Hiromi Tokuda is executive vice president in charge of Powertrain Control Systems Business Group of DENSO Corporation in Kariya, Aichi, Japan.

Tokuda graduated from the College of Industrial Technology at Nihon University with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1971. That same year he joined DENSO Corporation (formerly Nippondenso Co., Ltd.) and was assigned to work on engine-related products.

His work at DENSO includes air-induction products such as integrated air fuel modules, electronic throttle bodies, variable cam timing units and focused on combustion and exhaust-gas reduction.

After his many successes in expanding business in Japan and Europe, he was promoted to General Manager of the System Control Components Product Division. Additional successes followed with new business in Mexico and Vietnam.

In 2002, in recognition of Tokuda’s engine expertise, he was appointed director of the Diesel Injection Product and Gasoline Injection Product divisions. In June 2004, he was named one of DENSO’s managing officers, and promoted to senior managing director in June 2006.

Tokuda was appointed to executive vice president in June 2008.
