Kenji Ohya Executive Vice President Member, Board of Directors, DENSO Corporation

Kenji Ohya is executive vice president of DENSO Corporation, headquartered in Kariya, Aichi prefecture, Japan. He oversees the Administration Center of DENSO Corporation and the Asia & Oceania (excluding China) region.

Ohya began his career at DENSO Corporation (formerly Nippondenso Co., Ltd ) in the Sales Department in 1972 after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Kyoto University.

Following a series of positions in the sales group, Ohya was promoted to general manager of Application Component Sales Department in 1994. After serving as general manager for a number of departments in the Sales Group, Ohya was appointed to director in 2000. Throughout his tenure at DENSO, Ohya contributed in expanding DENSO's business in both automotive and non-automotive products.

Ohya was named one of DENSO's managing officers in 2004 and later promoted to senior managing director in June 2007.

DENSO, a leading global supplier of advanced automotive technology, systems and components, employs approximately 120,000 people in 32 countries and regions, including Japan. Consolidated global sales for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009 totaled US$32.0 billion.
