Kazuo Hironaka Senior Managing Director, Sales Group Member, Board of Directors, DENSO Corporation

Kazuo Hironaka Tokuda is a member of the Board of Directors and a senior managing director, overseeing the Sales Group at DENSO Corporation in Kariya, Aichi, Japan.

Hironaka began his career in 1973 at DENSO Corporation (formerly Nippondenso Co., Ltd.) after graduating with a degree in Political Science from Keio University that same year. He began in the Sales Department where he had in a series of positions.

In January 1997, Hironaka was transferred to DENSO Thailand where production and sale of various products like air conditioning and electrical components strengthening the local economy. He oversaw all aspects of the operation as President, as well as survived an unprecedented economic crisis in the country while maintaining associate morale.

In July 2001, he served as general manager in the Toyota Sales Department at headquarters. As General Manager, Hironaka was in charge of all Toyota’s domestic and overseas sales.

He was promoted to director in 2002 and named one of managing officers in June 2004.
